What a private jet
really costs.
A private jet is priced by the flight hour, and the aircraft size sets the rate. Here are the published 2026 ranges, worked examples from Madrid and what moves the final number.
Hourly rates by aircraft size
Three independent 2026 sources, in euros per flight hour. The spread is real: age of the aircraft, operator, season and demand all move it.

What sits on top of the hourly rate
- Positioning: if the aircraft is not based where you depart, the flight to reach you is billed.
- Airport, landing and handling fees, and crew overnight costs if the aircraft waits.
- De-icing in winter and taxes, which depend on the route.

How to pay less

Is a private jet charged per seat?
No. You pay for the whole aircraft, so the cost per person falls as more passengers travel, up to the aircraft’s capacity.
